”We highly recommend Mike's Sightseeing Running tours“

... for visitors as well as locals. Mike took us on a very well planned 10km running tour this past weekend. Two of us are long-time Berlin expats and one of us is a native Berliner -- and we still learned a lot, saw things from new vantage points and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Mike took us on a few paths and bridges we never knew existed, And he was even able to offer suggestions on spotless bathrooms along the way, if one was ever needed. He's very friendly and comfortable in English as well as German. We also appreciated how easy it was to correspond with Mike (by email, what's app) to set up the running tour. It helps to indicate if your emphasis is on running or touring. He includes clear information on ease of running, time required, and thoughtful details before the tour. All in all, a wonderful running tour experience.

”Absolutely Brilliant“

Reading the reviews I knew this was going to be good, but was still really surprised on how good this tour was. It really was excellent and very good value for money. Mike took me on a private running tour at the start of a 3 day stay in Berlin. He is a very friendly, knowledgeable and funny - the tour gave me a great foundation to the navigate the city for the next few days. I also managed to impress my wife with some of the great factoids Mike gave me on the run. I could not recommend this enough.

”The best European city tour so far... a must!“

My wife and I went on his running tour of Berlin with Mike yesterday. As background, over the past 10 years we've done lots of bike rides (our normal standard on a first day in a new city) and a few hikes (all boring) across Europe. This was our first time in Berlin and our first attempt at a running tour and to be honest we had such a great time that we will be looking for running tours by default from now on. Mike was AWESOME, responded very quickly, sat down with us and went over our course schedule and basic safety (“cross like a hedgehog”) and city running rules. He was happy to make adjustments to customize the experience for us and then we walked out the door! We left about an hour before sunset and ended up covering about 5.5 miles and almost all of Berlin's major attractions. Mike was extremely knowledgeable and funny and kept us so busy we didn't even realize how many miles rolled by. Mike is a local and even witnessed the fall of the wall and his personal stories alone are worth the tour. If we could give a 10 out of 5 star rating, we would. If you're a runner of any level, don't miss Mike's SightRunning Berlin.

”Best way to explore the city!“

Mike was so accommodating and a gem to speak to over the phone. I called at the last min and he made an effort to accommodate me. I ran with Tam and had a spectacular time. I got to see the city landmarks and heard some great stories. There is something unique about the way Tam shared the information - it really stuck with me. If you want a fun way to explore the city - this is it! I got to see so much it just about an hour. I’d suggest doing this on your first day because I saw some spots that I would’ve liked to return to, but I was on my last day. Also, the price for the run is very reasonable. Truly - I couldn’t be more pleased.

”Wonderful way to see and learn about Berlin...“

Mike is awesome tour guide and runner! I really enjoyed it and I've done running tours in almost every city I visit. The pace is good for even a slow runner like myself.

”One of my favorite tours ever!“

Mike is a wonderful tour guide. I had only a few days to visit Berlin, and the tour allowed me to see so much more than I could have seen otherwise. Mike is extremely knowledgable about the city. He is also very committed to giving his guests the best experience possible -- he explained the route in detail before starting, took lots of pictures, and answered all of my questions. I had an absolute blast. I highly recommend this tour!

”BMW Berlin Marathon“

Mike took a small group on a tour of appx. 7 ks. We were able to see the start and finish area of the marathon. This is will be helpful on a nervous race day.

Mike was enthusiastic and his “hedgehogs” managed to maneuver around Berlin without being hit by bikes or cars. If you run with Mike you will understand this reference.

Anyways we had runners of all skills, pace was fine and really is a walk run pace. Lots of information friendly demeanour. Highly recommend

”A fantastic way to see a new city“

Firstly I have to echo all of the postive review about Mike here.

I originally came across Mike's Tour while researching our first visit to Berlin so I emailed him. My wife, son and I are keen runners but not very fast and I had some concerns about us managing. Mike responded promptlyand positively and this set the tone for one of the most amazing activites I have ever done on a holiday. The day before we realised that it would be too hot at our original agreed starting time so Mike kindly agreed to start earlier. He also asked that as he had a knee injury, would we mind if he cycled - we didn't mind and it was no issue (He cycled slowly enough for us).

The first morning we were in Berlin, Mike met us at our hotel - which was close to Checkpoint Charlie - and tailored his Cathedral tour to start at our location. Before we set off he sat down with us and explained the route and how he operated - including "hedgehogs" when crossing the roads. We saw the Gendarmenmarket, Museum Island, Angela Merkels house, parts of the Berlin Wall, Tränenpalast, Reichstag and surrounding area, Tiergarten, Brandenburg Gate, among others. Mike was very knowledgeable and interesting and we did not notice the time or miles passing. He also took lots of photos for us which we now have as fantastic memories of our trip.

The tour gave us a fantastic foundation for the remainder of our trip and we managed to get in two other runs ourselves as well later in the week. I would certainly recommend this to anyone who can reasonably run 10km. Thank you Mike for a great trip.

”Running Introduction to Berlin“

I have been to Berlin before, but Mike's Tour (Cathedral tour in my case) was a perfect re-introduction to Berlin for me. Mike was easy to communicate with prior to the tour, he was punctual to pick me up in my hotel and the tour itself was very informative, a lot of fun, visually interesting and included LOTS of pictures (Mike graciously took care of that). The pace is mostly up to you/ your group, and I am sure that it works well for both first-time visitors and those who want to renew their acquaintance with Berlin. Thank you, Mike! Next time I'll try to bring my family.

”An Awesome Berlin Adventure“

I had the most amazing tour of Berlin this morning with Mike. I went for the running, and the history is what blew my mind away. Mike is so knowledgeable of all things Berlin, and he ignited my passion to know more. Mike is able to tell the stories (which are often tragic) in a way that is easy to understand. This is the best way to see the city, and I hope to run again with Mike before we leave.

”A fabulous experience“

Huge thanks to Mike for giving us such a fun, energetic and insightful running tour of Berlin. We only had 48 hours in the city and this was a perfect way to see the major sights and hear such interesting stories. The running was tailored to our ability and we certainly earned our Kafe and Küchen afterwards!

”Great start to a Saturday“

I made a reservation for a Saturday SightRunning the meet up. At the time of reservation, I was the only person signed up so I didn’t have high hopes of doing activity.

Mike was very communicative. He emailed me to let me know two Germans had signed up and that they were ok to follow the tour in English. Thank you for coordinating in English tour for my sake!

I learned a lot about the history of buildings in center of Berlin, and the cost of maintenance/development in particular. All information was delivered with a sense of humor.

”Highlight of our trip!“

Absolutely excellent! Mike is a highly entertaining and knowledgeable guide to the city. We crammed 400 years of history into 10km of gentle-paced running (one or two of us were nursing hangovers from the night before). Mike prepared a custom made route for us, visiting all of the sights you would expect to see in Berlin, plus a number of other interesting sites that you wouldn"t otherwise find in guidebooks. Mike is an excellent guide - very happy to accommodate our requests (including finding a toilet for one of our group), and very funny - we laughed all the way round!

Can"t recommend highly enough!

”If you like running and like sightseeing, do it“

My husband and I loved this. We went on the "Lichter-Festival" tour and really enjoyed it. Totally recommended if you like running and want to see Berlin in a different way. You need to be fit but not super fast as you stop frequently. Allow a bit more time than 1.5 hours. Thanks Mike!

”Highlight of my trip to Berlin!“

SO much fun! Mike and I laughed the whole way, as you can see from my photos I could not stop smiling. We covered 6 km at a gentle pace, with Mike telling me interesting stories and insights into Berlin"s rich history. I booked a private running tour and Mike recommended a customised Berlin Cathedral route, which was perfect and quiet, so there were no crowds of tourists to dodge!

Even though I came to Berlin for a conference, the main memory I"ll take away from this beautiful and vibrant city is the sightrunning tour. I am so glad I booked it. Honestly, if you like sightseeing and running and want to combine them into one hilarious and time-efficient package, this is for you! I would recommend Mike's Sightrunning to EVERYONE!

”conhecer berlim correndo, literalmente“

”Add to Your Bucket List“

This was my unforgettable start to an otherwise very hectic 48 hour business trip. I loved every minute of it. Whether you"re casual or intense, individual or group, this tour is for you.

Mike combined fantastic exercise geared to my jet-lagged pace with a vivid history lesson that took me across East and West Berlin, and across time as he lightly but effectively laid out the city"s past, present, and--perhaps--its future.

I had been here 10 years ago for nearly two weeks, so I thought I knew a lot. I learned and saw so much more. This is a must. I hope to take my boys next time I do it and he has many versions so you can choose the tour that interests you most.

”Great way to see Berlin“

I had a great morning on a 10km loop of Berlin with Mike. He is very knowledgeable and passionate about his city and it"s history.

He managed to fit me in even though he had already done a tour that morning. His communication was really good and he was very flexible in regards to the type of tour I wanted to do and what I wanted to see.

”Berlin Sights Running Tour“

A fantastic personal running tour of Berlin with Mike, I arranged it 3 days in advance and Mike was super responsive on email. The tour was full of interesting information from Mike who looked after me extremely well. I cannot recommend Mike enough and it is a fantastic way of seeing Berlin city centre.

”Wonderful tour of Berlin while running!“

Just finished a superb "sightrunning" tour with Mike. He is very knowledgeable about Berlin, super friendly, easy to work with (coordination in advance, flexibility when my flight was delay), and an excellent runner! He was also very generous with his time.

Highly recommend this to runners who want to get some tourism in!

”The highlight of my short trip to Berlin“

Everything you would want from a running tour. I"ve done a number of city running tours now and Mike's was wonderful. He is full of fun, well organised and happy to share all his insider knowledge of the city. The run was perfectly paced to allow for some decent running but lots of time to take in the sights. Couldn"t recommend more for anyone who is looking to learn about the city while stretching their legs. Mike was also kind enough to act as photographer for the day, which meant we had some wonderful running memories of Berlin to bring home.

”Great run!“

I needed to fit in a 10 mile run for my marathon training while I was in Berlin - and running with Mike was the perfect way to do so. We kept a pace that allowed me to get in a good workout, but the tour was also very informative and fun.

Would highly recommend this tour to runners of any fitness level/age!

”Great fun, educational and Mike is a champ!“

My (newlywed) wife and I did this tour with Mike as part the last bit of our Honeymoon - a whirlwind 3 days in Berlin tacked onto an Italy trip. We saw the running tour advertised and being generally active people at the end of a trip around Italy"s restaurants (!!) thought this would be a great way to learn more about Berlin and get some holiday exercise. We were not disappointed - it was great!

Mike was super enthusiastic, friendly and knowledgeable about Berlin"s history and sights. It"s not a sprint - but a jog around the city at your pace with lots of explanation and great tidbits. He proposed a route on a map at the start and then made sure we saw anything else we wanted to along the way. He was awesome at answering my silly questions about German politics and recommending places for us to go and see on our own afterwards.

For all levels of fitness, we recommend it!

”Enthusiastic Mike“

We had arranged to meet at Alexanderplatz at 0715 am, and were met by an energetic and enthusiastic Mike. He has great knowledge of Berlin, and we completely lost track of the time while we listened to his stories as we ran through the city. He even "arranged" for us to "meet" Angela Merkel as she left her home in the morning. Well done, Mike:) It was a fantastic way to spend our first morning in Berlin, getting a nice overview of the city, learning facts and history from someone who experienced it himself. 90 minutes later we say our goodbyes to Mike, feeling fresh and ready to explore the city further....after a good breakfast:) Thank you, Mike. You are the perfect running-guide!

”Fantastic SightRunning Tour of Berlin!“

If you would like to run through Berlin with an experienced guide, then Mike's SightRunning is a must! I was in town to support at the Berlin Marathon. Being short on time I needed to squeeze in a run and some sightseeing, so a SightRunning tour was perfect! Mike took me on a lovely route so that I experienced some of the classic sights of Berlin, while he explained historical aspects and interesting facts along the way. We made several stops for photos and to soak up the post marathon atmosphere! As the owner of a similar running tour company in London, it was brilliant to experience a tour from the other perspective, as a tourist not a guide, and I was not dissapointed.

If you"re a runner visiting Berlin, take a tour with Mike!

”Great way to see the city“

I very rarely leave online reviews, but I felt compelled to review Mike running tour through Berlin, I am a keen traveler and it was one of the best things I have ever done in a city. We did it on our first day’s arrival in Berlin, as I thought it would help us navigate the city for the rest of the trip. Plus when you are travelling it’s always nice to fit in a bit of exercise.

Mike collected us on time from our hotel and he brought us on a world wind tour of the city, I am not the best runner but I found the pace very manageable. Mikes knowledge and history of the city was very impressive plus he is funny, he didn’t mind us asking questions throughout the tour. He also recommended some great restaurants for evening meals. Myself and my friend really enjoyed ourselves. As we were running we actually ran into 4 tenors (very random) we all stopped to take photo’s which was cool. I would recommend this as a must do when in Berlin.

In all our trip lasted 2 hours ( you can run shorter distances ) ,In all we nearly ran 10km but it felt so much shorter like 45 minutes ( time when that fast). Great experience & great fun

”Excellent way to see Berlin!“

Mike's SightRunning is a fantastic way to get to know Berlin! My co-worker and I took a private tour with Mike on our trip in Sept 2016 and it is very true that you get to experience the city in a very hands on way when you run through it with a guide and Mike really knows his Berlin. He filled us in about the city"s past and present in a very upbeat and entertaining way and in addition we got many great tips on where to go and what to see that we would never have thought of by ourselves, for example a place by a river where you can go and learn dancing and spend the evening.

Definitely a great experience!

”Sunset running tour of Berlin“

Myself and 2 others booked a 60 min Wednesday twilight running tour to get a feel for Berlin. Despite the wide range of running ability between the 3 of us (one elite and 2 plodders), Mike was able to keep it interesting and fun for all of us.

Mike was very knowledgable and approachable. He showed us areas that we would not have found on our own. In particular his personal account of witnessing the fall of the Berlin Wall brought a real human touch to Berlin"s recent history.

I would definitely recommend him to others.

”Best Way to Start a Weekend Trip to Berlin“

We met Mike first thing Saturday morning, after arriving the previous night. Mike gave us a concise and helpful agenda before starting our run.

The tour was done at a very reasonable pace, which gave us time to absorb the great knowledge Mike has about Berlin. We found the run so enjoyable and entertaining, that we decided to increase the tour by another half an hour to learn more about the city. Mike made sure we took plenty of pictures around the incredible sights of Berlin.

At the end of the tour we"d seen a great deal of the main sightseeing destinations, which helped us get our bearings for the rest of the weekend. Mike also made some great recommendations for other thing to do in the city.

Highly recommend. Thank you Mike for laying the foundations for a wonderful weekend.

Mike was very knowledgeable about Berlin and its history and we learned a lot and had a lot of laughs along the way. This is by far the best and most informative way to the see the city. Mike has two passions: running and Berlin. Don"t know which one he likes more :-).

”Great run, great city“

What a great way to see Berlin. We were a mixture of marathon runners, pace makers and gentle runners but we all had a great time. Mike keeps it informative, interesting but most of all fun. As our run was on the day before the marathon, we ran our last 1k to the finish line at the Brandenburg Gate, which was brilliant...it almost made me want to apply for next year...

Thank you Mike, we will be back.

”Great way to see Berlin when you"re on a time limit - and get some exercise too!“

I had a great experience with Mike, doing a 2+ hour running tour of Berlin. As I was only in the city for 2 days AND in the middle of training for a half marathon, this was the perfect tour for me. Mike was on time - met in the lobby of the hotel - and had a lot of knowledge of the city. He is extremely responsive to email. And the best part is that as a single traveler, you don"t get many photos of yourself - Mike took many pictures for me, some of which are my favorites from my trip.

Highly recommendable!! We will definitely be back for more next time. :)

”Berlin Cathedral Tour“

This was an excellent tour of all the central sites in Berlin. Mike is extremely knowledgeable and I learnt lots about the city"s early history that I didn"t know about. Mike is also a very friendly guy so it was a pleasure spending time with him and we kept a great pace. Excellent tour in a vibrant city!

”Fantastic tour and run“

Never been on a running tour, and stumbled across Mike's outfit on the internet.

Awesome 90 minute tour of central Berlin, with Mike meeting me at the early bird time of 6am. allowing a great 12km run through all the main sites, with insightful and witty commentary.

I went on the tour just by myself, and sure it wasnt cheap - but I had a conference and very limited time - and this was absolutely perfect. Great value. Who else would give a personalised tour at 6am, combining tourism with a good run?

Running pace wasnt at all strenous - I"m sure Mike could have run faster if I had wanted - but this was perfect: about 5:45 per km.

Awesome idea - I especially recommend for anyone half fit that wants a unique way to see Berlin

”Great fun, fit and family sightseeing“

My wife, 16 year daughter and I spend 2 great hours with Mike. We saw most of the key sights, but the best part was Mike's many great inside stories all told with humor and passion.

You dont need to be a top athlete to enjoy the run as Mike sets the pace to your liking and was good at improvising based on our needs and questions. This was my 13th visit to Berlin and this event was top class.

Thanks again Mike!

”Nicest Man in All Berlin“

Mike is the most enthusiastic running host I have had thus far! (And I"ve been on many running tours with many pleasant guides!) He obviously loves the city of Berlin and if he doesn"t know a fact about it (hard to believe!), he will find out. I took two tours with Mike, one of East/West Berlin and some of the more historic sites, and another of the Tiergarten and some of the more governmental/modern areas. They were both unique and informative. Mike even throws in some stairs on Berlin"s flat terrain to make sure you get the best workout! He was such a pleasure to learn from and run with in Berlin.

Thanks again Mike!

”The best way to experience Berlin“

I was an early morning (7 am) on a warm day in July (2013) when I met Mike for a running tour. Since I"m a sudent, I had to dig my pockets to find the 60 euros that the tour costs, and I was curious to see if the tour was worth the digging, or if I should have spent it on a nice dress instead. Let"s just say this: It was the best 60 euros I spent on the whole trip (and probably any trip ever).

Even though it was early, Mike was in an excellent mood, which automatically made me really stoked for the tour as well (even though I had stayed out a bit longer than I should the day before..). I was traveling alone, and it was really nice to have such a good company. Its really something else to experience a city with someone by your side (and someone to take your picture in front of all the attractions), rather than experience it alone.

The tour itself was a blast, he showed me a lot of interesting things, you would be amazed by all the things you get to see when you are running across town.

What really made this tour unique though was Mike. He was such a good running buddy. Not only did he show me things that you would never see if you went for an ordinary tour, but I felt like he was really enjoying himself as well. When the tour was over, he was supposed to meet another client, but the client cancelled. Instead of saying goodbye to me, he asked if I would like to run a bit more, for free. He wanted to show me a few more things... I was both surprised and happy - OF COURSE I wanted him to show me more of Berlin.

After a couple of hours we were done, even though I only payed for the first hour. If I could I would have given him a LOT more than the 60 euros (and more than five dots here on Tripadvisor). I"m so grateful for the time he spent on me, and for being so openminded and welcoming.

I"m going back to Berlin with my bf this summer, and we are definitely going for a running with Mike.

”Great way to see Berlin“

This was a highlight of our family trip to Berlin! We went on our first full day, and were able to get an overview of the city and its sights. Mike was excellent with his ability to keep four runners of different ages and abilities engaged and happy, and the run exceeded our expectations in every way. Our adult children were equally pleased.

We recommend this as the perfect alternative to a bus tour around Berlin, and highly suggest that you use Mike's SightRunning.

”Great way to combine running and sightseeing“

I participated Mike's sightrunning as part of the event in Berlin, and I thought this was such a fantastic way of seeing the city, so I booked another session with him for Sunday morning for more sigtseeing. He knows very well the best attractions, restaurants - where to find the best Caesar"s Salad in town, the chocolate souvenirs or wine bars - and what to do after the sigthrunning tour, not to mention the most important thing, the history of the city and the little secrets you wouldn"t find without a guide.

I can highly recommed Mike's SightRunning for a fun tour that makes a good excersise at the same time!

”Best part of my trip“

When my 13 yr old son suggested Mike's running tour of Berlin I said no because I thought it would be too hard for me, but it wasn"t at all. In fact, it was the very best part of my trip to Berlin. I only wish Mike could travel to all cities with me. What great information he shares -- history to politics to current events. I couldn"t have been more impressed. We probably ran 5 miles and I"m not a runner. It felt like nothing -- just exuberant fun.

I want to do it again!!

Many thanks to Mike!

The concept of running and sigth seeing was new to me, but with a guide like Mike there will never be just sight seeing anymore. I"ve been to Berlin many times before, but what he showed and told me were insights to the real Berlin and the people living there which one doesn"t get easily. It was just an amazing couple of hours.

”Totally awesome!“

We already did two running tours with Mike's SightRunning, and both were amazing. Our first was with Mike himself, who showed us the government district and a few extras, took amazing pictures and had a lot of background information. This tour was in German.

Two weeks ago we met an American friend and ran with Beate. Her English is great, and in addition to the usual tourist info, she told us a lot of her experiences with living in Berlin. We ran all the way along the Spree to Chalottenburg, which I"d also strongly recomment for anybody who has seen "the usual" before.

In summary: Great guides, great way to see the city, and also great value ;-)

Great experience!

Mike met me at 9 am Sunday morning and after a short but professional briefing on what to expect, we hit the road. Very comfortable pace (well appreciated after a night of one too many German beers) and extremely detailed information of all must see places around, mainly, former east Berlin. We could have gone longer, but I had to rush back to the hotel to check out. If you run, this is the best way to experience the city, and to effectively plan how to use the rest of your stay.

We had the pleasure of Mikes company on a Berlin Running Tour, scheduled for 10 km. We kept a slow pace allowing Mike to guide us almost the entire tour with a loud clear voice, telling us major facts of Berlin but also funny curiosities such as Angela Merkel doorbell, places to eat or shop etc. Very well recommended. We ended a few km from our hotel in agreement with Mike. Including running back we had a nice approx 14 km tour (11 guided).

Will book again if in Berlin again.

This was my third running tour in Europe and by far the best. Mike is an unbelievable guide and ambassador for the city of Berlin. We went for an early run-tour and for the next two days I wowed my wife (who is German) and kids with my knowledge of the city and all its great landmarks.

No ho havia provat mai.

Ho recomanaria a tothom a qui li agradi viatjar i córrer!

”Terrific overview of Berlin“

I was in Berlin and decided to start with an overview of the city by doing a running tour. Mike met us at our hotel in the central city at 10:30. Since it turned out to be a very hot day, it might have been better to start earlier but despite the heat, it was great. Mike took us by all the highlights in the central city. As a bonus, the chancellor"s office was open the weekend we did the tour and Mike took us there and stayed with us even though it was way past the 90 minutes we had agreed to. Mike stayed with us to watch Angela Merkel speak to the audience and then returned us to our hotel.

By the way, I am not a very fast runner but Mike adjusted the pace to accommodate!

”Perfect for those wanting to keep fit while on holiday in Berlin“

Berlin Cathedral Tour I arranged to meet Mike at my hotel in central Berlin at 7:30am on a Sunday morning and he arrived on time. It was actually a really good time to go for a run - streets, including popular tourist spots were very quiet - I pretty much had it all for myself & Mike.

Mike is a great guy - very friendly, knowledgeable and professional.

Good communication prior to meeting him, arranging the jogging route I wanted, etc. He speaks perfect English.

We stopped off for a few minutes at various points along the route (which I wanted to do) and he told me about the interesting, historical sights on my jogging route, and took photos of me so I would have something to show my family when I got back home e.g. photo of me at Check Point Charlie, etc. My jogging tour lasted just over 1 hour, starting at my hotel and back again.

You decide the pace, and Mike timed everything perfectly.

If you want to go jogging when in Berlin, at a distance of your choosing, on an interesting route then choose Mike's SightRunning. I was in training for an 11 mile obstacle course - Tough Mudder UK, and I wanted to keep up my training while on holiday in Berlin, and I"m glad I chose Mike.

”An informative and absolutely fun way to see Berlin!“

The running tour that Mike took me on was not only one of the top highlights for my weekend in Berlin, but also for my month-long stay in Germany!

Mike is super informative and his interesting stories are the perfect compliment to running through this beautiful city. Mike is uber-friendly and you"ll quickly be laughing with him like he"s an old friend.

I went on later tours with other groups and their information paled in comparison to what Mike had told me about. I can honestly say I feel like I saw the most beautiful parts of Berlin and learned more about them than I could have any other way - all while doing one of my favorite things in the world!

And as a local Mike can give you all sorts of insider tips. My favorite - the suggestion to come out to the "Fun Run" the next day - a "race" that was absolutely magical.

”The perfect way to experience the city!“

How far do you really want to walk? And do you really want to get on a cramped bus to get around central Berlin? Well, jogging seems a real alternative to both. And when you need not worry about finding your way around and get personal attention from your guide it’s perfect. I booked the tour ahead and it was worked out specifically around my interests and the distance an duration I wanted.

Beate met me at the agreed location and we took off to an extended jog at a relaxed pace. It was great experiencing a number of sights from foot level, when you experience not only how things look but also how it feels and smells, a very different experience. Beate not only pointed out the sights but also gave a lot of background information and history. The most interesting piece for me was to learn how a Berliner experienced the city’s turbulent history. Extending the tour was not a problem and we ended up with a three hour tour.

It is a superb experience, highly recommended.

Mike is a fantastic guide and even though I was the only one on the tour that didn"t understand German he was happy to translate for me, even asking me to run up front with him. I enjoyed this tour so much and wish I had done it when we first arrived in Berlin as Mike told us so much information about the city and the best places to eat etc.

”Different, sporty and informative.“

I had a wonderful time seeing Berlin"s main sights by jogging with Mike through the City Centre. Mike allowed me to specify my interests after which he put together a route which might suit me. As a qualified trainer Mike knows how to pace his tours well for those new runners like myself, who perhaps don"t sprint around the place. Because the commentary Mike offered was so interesting, time flew by and before I knew it I had jogged 13 km and seen beautiful Berlin. Included in the trip was also my own personal digital photo gallery so that friends and family alike could share and enjoy my experience afterward as well. Great idea:it"s different, sporty and educational.

”A time well spent“

My friend and I live in different parts of the world and only have very few opportunities to meet once a year. Our common passion is running and sightseeing, so before meeting up in Berlin I had found Mike's sightrunning on the internet and made an appointment for a nighttime run. Our guided tour started at Brandenburger Tor and what a perfect tour seeing the night slowly lower itself over the city while seeing monuments, Tiergarden, Reichstag, the pregnant oyster, the washing machine and the dryer among lots of other sights. We had an absolutely wonderful time and were told history that we would have never gotten from a sightseeing guide. With our fully packed schedule we still managed Berlin sightseeing tour and running in a safe environment – all thanks to Mike. Lynnda and Linda
